Frangelico Sour Cocktail

A nutty and balanced Frangelico Sour cocktail made with hazelnut liqueur, fresh lemon juice and a silky egg white foam. An easy sour recipe perfect for after-dinner drinks or entertaining.

Ingredients

  • 60 mL Frangelico (hazelnut liqueur)
  • 30 mL fresh lemon juice
  • 15 mL egg white
  • 2 dashes Angostura Bitters
  • Ice
  • Dried lemon slice or maraschino cherry to serve

Instructions

  • Add Frangelico, lemon juice, egg white and bitters to a cocktail shaker.
  • Shake without ice (dry shake) for 15 seconds to build foam.
  • Add ice and shake again for 20–30 seconds until well chilled.
  • Strain into a chilled coupe glass or rocks glass with ice.
  • Garnish with a dried lemon slice or maraschino cherry and serve immediately.

Notes

  • For a vegetarian option, replace the egg white with equal parts aquafaba.
  • For a sweeter drink, add 5–10 mL simple syrup.
  • Skip the egg white if you prefer a sharper, lighter cocktail without foam.
