- 4 black tea bags
- 500 mL boiling water
- 1 L cold water
- 60 mL lemon juice about 1 large lemon
- 100 mL lemon cordial
Add teabags to a measuring jug and pour over boiling water. Allow to steep for about 10 minutes.
Transfer hot tea into a large jug, big enough to hold at least 1.7L of liquid. Top with cold water, lemon juice and lemon cordial and stir well.
Refrigerate for a couple of hours to chill and then serve over ice. Alternatively, pour about 250mL of prepared tea into a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake to chill and strain into a glass filled with ice to enjoy immediately.
- My preference is to use sugar free cordial for my iced tea. Generally, regular cordial or sugar free versions will give the same level sweetness.
