New York Sour
The lesser-known New York Sour, made on whiskey, with a red wine float on top.

- 60 mL bourbon
- 15 mL sugar syrup
- 30 mL lemon juice
- Dash aromatic bitters
- 15 mL red wine
- Lemon twist to garnish
In the base of a cocktail shaker, add bourbon, sugar syrup, lemon juice and bitters. Shake to chill - approximately 12-15 seconds.
Strain into a rocks glass filled with ice.
Pour red wine over the back of a bar spoon to float on top. Garnish with a twist of lemon.
