Make Your Own Coconut Butter
Coconut butter sounds delicious, and let me just tell you, it is. For some reason, I always believed it to be very difficult to make, when really, it couldn’t be more easy and straightforward.
For one, you only need a single ingredient. There’s nothing else in there. Other than that, you need an appliance that can blend stuff, and you’re on the right track.
Makes 1 jar
1 packet of natural shredded coconut
Place the entire packet into a food processor or high-powered blender. Whiz up until you’ve reached desired consistency. Coconut butter forms in a similar fashion to other homemade nut butters. It begins to crumble initially, and then as the oils release, the mixture will become smooth. Keep your coconut butter at room temperature to store, because it will harden if placed in the fridge. Use in smoothies or for sweets!
